HSK (Level 5) examines candidates' Chinese application ability, which corresponds to Level 5 of Chinese Language Proficiency Scales For Speakers of Other Lan-guages and Level C1 of the Common European Framework （CEFR）.
Candidates who have passed the HSK-5 can read Chinese newspapers and magazines, enjoy Chinese film and television programs, and conduct more complete speeches in Chinese. When they apply to enter Chinese universities, HSK-5 is required for majors in Chinese literature, history, philosophy, and Chinese medicine and enables candidates to have the opportunity to receive scholarships.
