HSK (Level 4) examines candidates' Chinese application ability, which corresponds to Level 4 of Chinese Language Proficiency Scales For Speakers of Other Lan-guages and Level B2 of the Common European Framework （CEFR）.
Candidates who have passed the HSK-4 can discuss a wider range of topics in Chinese and communicate fluently with native speakers of Chinese. When candidates apply for admission to Chinese universities, HSK-4 is required for undergraduate majors in science, engineering, agronomy, and medicine.
The whole test takes about 105 minutes (including 5 minutes for candidates to fill in their personal information).
